Freedom Forever is being liquidated. Here is what that means for your system, your warranty and your loan, from an independent Florida solar contractor.
Proof of claim deadline: October 16, 2026. If Freedom Forever owes you work, a refund or a warranty repair, file your claim with the court before the deadline.

Equipment warranties (panels, inverters, batteries) come from the manufacturer, not the installer, so they usually survive an installer bankruptcy. Keep your serial numbers and contact the manufacturer directly.
Workmanship warranties (roof penetrations, wiring, the install itself) came from the installer. When the installer is gone, that coverage usually goes with it, or becomes a claim in the bankruptcy.
Lease or PPA: you do not own the equipment. Whoever now owns your agreement is responsible for repairs under it. Keep paying unless the owner tells you otherwise in writing, and report problems to them in writing.
Loan: you own the system and still owe the lender. The loan does not go away because the installer did. Repairs are now up to you, which is where an independent contractor comes in.
Paid cash: you own the system outright. Use the manufacturer warranties for failed equipment and a licensed contractor for everything else.
A claim against the company (unfinished work, a deposit, a workmanship warranty): file a proof of claim with the bankruptcy court. The court's claims page is deb.uscourts.gov/claims-information.
Your loan or lease: call the company on your most recent bill. If your install was never finished, ask your lender whether it is funding completion.
Failed equipment: the manufacturer on your inverter or panel label.
Anything else wrong with the system: a licensed solar contractor. That is us.

Yes. The loan is with your lender, not with Freedom Forever, and it continues. Talk to your lender before you stop or change any payment.
Manufacturer warranties on panels, inverters and batteries usually continue. Freedom Forever's own workmanship warranty is part of the bankruptcy, so file a proof of claim if you have an issue covered by it.
