Solar Panel Removal & Reinstall in Volusia & Flagler County, FL
If a new roof is coming and you have solar on the house, AllSolar Energy takes the array off and puts it back on across Volusia and Flagler County. This is the solar panel removal and reinstallation your roofer needs — also called detach and reset, lift and reset, or solar panel removal for roof replacement. We’ve handled it on the coast and inland since 1999.
Storm-battered roofs on the Volusia and Flagler coast
Hurricanes Ian and Nicole punished this stretch of coastline, and roofs from Ormond Beach to Flagler Beach are still being replaced. When yours is, the solar has to come down first. We remove the panels, racking, and conduit, keep the equipment protected, and reinstall the system after the new roof is on and inspected. As a licensed solar contractor we manage the electrical side, re-seal every roof penetration, and confirm the array is producing again before we leave.
Beachside homes in New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, and Flagler Beach also deal with salt-air corrosion. When we reset a coastal system we check the mounts and hardware and swap out anything that won’t survive the next few years by the water.
Cities we cover in Volusia and Flagler
Our detach and reset crews work throughout Daytona Beach, Deltona, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, DeBary, Edgewater, and Orange City in Volusia County, plus Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, and Bunnell in Flagler County. For local repair and maintenance, see our Volusia County and Flagler County solar service pages.
Older inland roofs in Deltona, DeLand, and Palm Coast
It isn’t just the beach. Deltona, DeLand, and the sprawling Palm Coast neighborhoods have plenty of 20-year-old shingle roofs reaching the end of their life. Whether it’s a straightforward shingle tear-off or a tile reroof, we lift and reset the array cleanly so your roofer can do their job and your system goes back exactly where it belongs.
Solar pool heaters and hot water systems
Many Volusia and Flagler homes heat a pool or their water with solar instead of generating electricity. Those solar pool heating and solar hot water panels have to come off for a reroof too, and most roofers won’t remove them. AllSolar detaches and reinstalls them, drains and recharges the loops, and leak-checks the system before reactivating. We handle PV, pool heat, and hot water — most solar companies only touch PV.
How the handoff works
Get us on the schedule as soon as your reroof date is set. We remove the solar just before the tear-off and return to reinstall once the roof passes. Roofing contractors use AllSolar as their solar detach and reset partner so their crews never touch a live array. Homeowners can start on our main solar panel removal and reinstall page.
Every brand, including orphaned systems
We reinstall all the major brands — Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, SunPower, Panasonic, Q CELLS and more — and we specialize in orphaned arrays whose original installer folded, including Titan, Pink Energy, and Blue Raven. If your installer is gone, we’ll take the system on, reset it, and get it producing. Over 80 Florida companies send this work our way.

Frequently Asked Questions
My roof was damaged in a hurricane. Can you remove the solar for the reroof?
Yes. We handle a lot of storm-related reroofs in Volusia and Flagler. We take the array down before your roofer’s tear-off and reinstall it once the new roof is complete and inspected, coordinating the timing so nothing stalls.
Do you work on beachside homes with salt-air corrosion?
We do. On coastal systems we inspect the racking, lugs, and fasteners during the reset and replace any corroded hardware so the reinstalled array stays secure and weather-tight.
Will removing the panels void my solar warranty?
Not when a licensed solar contractor does the work. We handle the electrical disconnect and reconnect properly and document the reinstall. Letting a roofer work around a live array is what puts warranties and your roof at risk.
How long is my system down during a detach and reset?
Usually just the length of your reroof. We remove the panels right before the tear-off and return to reinstall as soon as the new roof passes inspection, so downtime is kept to a minimum.
