Solar Charge Controller

Solar charge controller repair and replacement in Central Florida. Get your system working again with AllSolar Energy. Free estimates.

When your solar charge controller fails, your entire system stops producing power. The charge controller is what regulates power from your panels into your batteries or home, and without it working, everything shuts down.

AllSolar diagnoses charge controller problems and gets your system running again. We repair controllers when possible, or replace them with new equipment matched to your system's size and voltage. Many homeowners come to us after their original installer closed, and we take over the repair and service from there.

Our work is covered by customer reviews and our Florida licensing. Schedule a free estimate to find out what's wrong and what it takes to fix.

What charge controller repair covers

We test your controller to pinpoint failure, replace it if needed, and verify the whole system is working together. If your batteries aren't charging or your panels are disconnected, we find the root cause. Sometimes it's a bad controller connection or a tripped breaker; sometimes the controller itself has failed. We diagnose it all and fix what's broken.

How the repair visit works

On the first visit, we test your system, examine the controller, and talk through what we found. If it needs replacement, we give you a free estimate before proceeding. Most controller replacements take a few hours. We make sure everything is safe and your system is producing power again before we leave.

Solar Charge Controller: common questions

How long does it take to replace a charge controller?

Most replacements take 2 to 4 hours depending on where the controller is mounted and how the rest of your system is wired. We schedule the work and usually complete it in one visit.

What causes a charge controller to fail?

Overheating, lightning strikes, and manufacturing defects are common causes. A controller exposed to extreme weather without proper ventilation fails faster than one in a controlled space.

Can you repair my controller or do I have to replace it?

We try to diagnose the problem first. Sometimes a loose connection or failed component can be fixed. If the controller itself is damaged, replacement is the right choice.

Do you work on systems installed by other companies?

Yes. A lot of our work is repairing systems whose original installer went out of business. We service solar systems from any installer.
